Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of NokoChat — the app, the API at api.noko.chat, and the Explore marketplace, operated by NokoChat DWC-LLC ("we"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

NokoChat is a roleplay chat client that generates fictional conversations with AI characters. Replies are produced by third-party AI models. An account (nickname + passkey) is required for AI generation, the Explore marketplace, and purchases.

AI-generated content

• AI replies are fiction, generated by a machine. They can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or objectionable despite our safeguards. They are not advice of any kind — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise.
• You can report an offensive AI reply directly from the chat (long-press a reply → Report). We review reports and use them to improve filtering.
• Don't attempt to use NokoChat to generate content that is illegal, sexualizes minors, or promotes real-world harm. We may suspend accounts that try.

Your account

• You're responsible for the passkeys that can access your account; review devices in Settings → Security.
• Fair use: plans are metered by real inference cost. Automated scraping, quota abuse, or circumventing limits may result in suspension.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time (how).

Subscriptions & credits

• Halo subscriptions and usage-credit packs are billed through Google Play or the App Store under their payment terms; refunds follow the store's refund policy.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled in your store's subscription settings. Credits are consumed by usage and are non-transferable.
• Allowances are denominated in real compute cost and may be re-tuned; we won't reduce what a paid period already granted.

Explore marketplace

• Characters you publish must be your work (or work you may legally publish) and must follow the content rules shown at submission. Submissions are moderated before appearing publicly.
• By publishing you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute the character within NokoChat. You can take your characters down at any time.
• We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted by the date above and, where required, in the app. Continued use after a change means acceptance. Questions: support@noko.chat.
